Supportive. Skills-Based. Evidence-Informed.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by emotions, stuck in frustrating relationship patterns, or unsure how to set healthy boundaries? Are you a parent or caregiver feeling overwhelmed by emotional outbursts, ongoing family conflict, or communication that just isn’t working? Maybe you’re supporting a teen who struggles with anxiety, big emotions, or impulsive behavior—and you’re not sure what else to try. You’re not alone—and we’re here to help.
At Busy Bee Therapy, we understand how challenging these experiences can be—for individuals and families. That’s why we’re offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups that teach practical, evidence-based tools to help regulate emotions, reduce conflict, and build stronger, healthier connections.

In our Adolescent DBT Skills Group, both teens and their caregivers learn the same skills side by side—creating opportunities for real-time connection, shared language, and deeper understanding at home. Caregivers gain tools to respond to their teen with calm and clarity, while teens learn how to manage big emotions, handle peer and academic stress, and express themselves more effectively. It’s a space for families to grow stronger together.
✨ What You’ll Learn
Our DBT Skills Groups teach the four core modules of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, helping participants of all ages develop tools to:
-
🌿 Regulate intense emotions
-
🧘 Practice mindfulness and stay present
-
🛑 Tolerate distress without harmful behaviors
-
💬 Communicate more effectively and navigate relationships with confidence
In addition to these core modules, the Adolescent DBT Skills Group includes a fifth module: Walking the Middle Path. This module is designed specifically to support and strengthen the parent-teen relationship by helping families:
-
Understand common thinking patterns that lead to conflict
-
Find balance between acceptance and change
-
Learn validation strategies that reduce emotional reactivity
-
Build mutual respect through shared language and expectations
Caregivers and teens work together to develop healthier, more collaborative ways of connecting—turning difficult moments into opportunities for growth and trust.
These skills are taught in a warm, supportive environment and can be life-changing for individuals who struggle with emotional sensitivity, conflict, impulsivity, or social disconnection.
✅ How to Join
Participation requires an orientation session to ensure the group is a good fit. Many participants work with an outside therapist and attend DBT groups with us as a way to build additional coping tools and structure.
